Navy SEAL Lieutenant A.K. Waters and his elite squadron of tactical specialists are forced to choose between their duty and their humanity, between following orders by ignoring the conflict that surrounds them, or finding the courage to follow their conscience and protect a group of innocent refugees. When the democratic government of Nigeria collapses and the country is taken over by a ruthless military dictator, Waters, a fiercely loyal and hardened veteran is dispatched on a routine mission to retrieve a Doctors Without Borders physician, Dr. Lena Kendricks.

Dr. Kendricks, an American citizen by marriage, is tending to the victims of the ongoing civil war at a Catholic mission in a remote village. When Waters arrives, however, Dr. Kendricks refuses to leave unless he promises to help deliver the villagers to political asylum at the nearby border. If they are left behind, they will be at the mercy of the enormous rebel army. Waters is under strict orders from his commanding officer Captain Bill Rhodes to remain disengaged from the conflict.

But as he and his men witness the brutality of the rebels first-hand, they are won over to Dr. Kendricks' cause and place their lives at risk by agreeing to escort the villagers on a perilous trek through the dense jungle. As they move through the countryside on foot, Waters' team, experts at evasion and concealment, are inexplicably and ferociously pursued by an army of rebels.

They are confounded until they discover that, among the refugees, is the sole survivor of the country's previous ruling family, whom the rebels have been ordered to eliminate at all costs. Waters and his small band of soldiers must weigh the life of one man against their own and the refugees they feel obliged to protect.

When one of Rika's colleagues alerts the local authorities, an investigation turns the house inside out and exposes an ancient and deadly history.

A young woman, stuck in her apartment thanks to the cast on her leg, communicates with the outside world via cell phone and text messages. She begins receiving text messages from a stranger, who seems friendly enough, and there’s no reason for her to read between the lines when he mentions that he is currently dwelling somewhere “cramped.” After sending the mysterious stranger her picture, she asks for one in return and is sent the same picture. When she questions him, he says he is in the picture next to her.

A ghostly face is slightly visible next to her smiling face. As she researches recent deaths she discovers that a man died and was buried with a cellphone. She then gets a text saying that he will come to her place now. All of the lights begin to go out and the young woman cries in fear. She is then assaulted by the ghost and is thrown out of the window to her death. We are then shown that the man died while walking across the road, being struck by the taxi that crashes and breaks her leg.

Pim was born as a twin, conjoined at the stomach with her sister, Ploy. Pim was very sweet and protective to Ploy.However, it was Ploy who threw rocks at a group of children who were taunting them. While they were staying in a hospital, Pim and Ploy met a boy named Wee. Although both loved him, Wee only returned Pim's affections, which made Ploy angry and jealous. Finally Wee recovers from his illness and was able to leave. As he is getting into the car, Wee decided he wanted to see Pim one last time. Since the twins' room was on the second floor, he decides to call to her. As much as Pim wants to see Wee, Ploy would not get out of bed. Wee is upset and leaves. Angry and in tears, Pim demands that she and Ploy be separated. The twins had an operation to separate them, but Ploy did not survive.

Several years later Pim, who is now living in South Korea and is dating Wee, receives a phone call from Thailand that her mother has had a stroke. When Pim and Wee return to Thailand, Ploy comes back to haunt her. Curious, Wee looks into Pim's family affairs. In a stroke of irony, Wee learns that Pim is actually Ploy. Revealed in a flashback, Ploy strangled Pim in a jealous rage after Pim demanded they be separated. In order to save Ploy's life, doctors had to amputate Pim's corpse from Ploy. Ploy assumed Pim's identity in order to be with Wee. Throughout the film, Pim's ghost was actually trying to tell Wee of this. Ploy's mother knew of her actions as well, tried to tell him, but was unable to talk due to her weakened state.

After confronting Pim, Ploy takes Wee hostage, but not before killing her mother. However, Wee escapes, and the ensuing fight with Ploy causes the house to catch on fire. Wee escapes, but a shelf falls on Ploy. Trapped underneath, Pim's ghost confronts and holds her down, taking Ploy with her as burning debris rains down around them. In the end, Wee visits Pim's grave, apologizes, and places a necklace on her tombstone.

Tidak semua penulis cukup mujur untuk bisa menghasilkan sebuah karya yang membuatnya terkenal dan bergelimang harta. Beberapa harus rela menjadi penulis yang tak pernah disebutkan namanya atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah ghost writer. Memang pekerjaan ini seolah mudah karena penulis tidak secara langsung bertanggung jawab pada hasil tulisannya. Tapi bukan berarti pekerjaan ini sama sekali tidak ada risikonya.

Dalam kasus ghost writer yang diperankan oleh Ewan McGregor ini masalahnya tak semudah itu. Awalnya penulis ini mendapat tugas dari agennya untuk melanjutkan penulisan biografi mantan Perdana Menteri Inggris, Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). Sang agen meyakinkan bahwa pekerjaan ini tak akan terlalu sulit dan kesempatan seperti ini tak akan datang dua kali.

Berbekal keyakinan itulah sang ghost writer ini berangkat ke pulau tempat tinggal Adam Lang. Ternyata, sebagian dari biografi itu sudah ditulis oleh seorang ghost writer lain namun tidak terselesaikan karena sang penulis ini tiba-tiba meninggal. Baru juga sang ghost writer ini memulai bekerja, masalah lain muncul.

Adam Lang dituduh telah menyerahkan seorang tersangka tindak terorisme pada CIA untuk disiksa. Skandal ini segera saja menjadi head line di mana-mana dan mulai banyak warga yang berdatangan untuk memprotes tindakan Adam Lang. Semakin jauh ghost writer ini mengumpulkan fakta, semakin jelas pula kalau ada kemungkinan bahwa ghost writer sebelumnya meninggal karena dibunuh dan Adam Lang bisa jadi adalah mata-mata CIA selama ia bertugas sebagai Perdana Menteri Inggris.

Buat orang awam, kehidupan Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher) adalah kehidupan impian. Bisa menikmati kehidupan eksotik di berbagai kota di Eropa, punya mobil mewah, dan dikelilingi banyak wanita cantik memang adalah impian semua pria dan itu semua sudah dimiliki Spencer yang sebenarnya adalah seorang agen pembunuh bayaran yang biasa digunakan pihak pemerintahan.

Spencer memang menikmati hidupnya dan tak ada alasan untuk meninggalkan semua itu, setidaknya sampai Spencer bertemu Jennifer Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl). Jennifer adalah seorang teknisi komputer yang baru saja putus dari kekasihnya. Sejak bertemu Jennifer, Spencer yakin kalau wanita ini adalah cinta sejatinya dan karena wanita ini pula Spencer rela meninggalkan kehidupan mewahnya.

Tiga tahun kemudian, kehidupan sepasang manusia yang sedang kasmaran ini tiba-tiba saja diguncang prahara. Dari informasi yang diperoleh Spencer, diketahui bahwa selama ini mereka sedang jadi incaran seorang pembunuh bayaran. Artinya, pembunuh bayaran ini bisa siapa saja. Brooklyn's Finest, Film yang menceritakan 3 orang polisi yang berdinas di 65th Precinct, Brooklyn. Eddie Dugan (Richard Gere), Sal Procida (Ethan Hawke), dan Clarence Butler (Don Cheadle), mereka saling kenal karena mereka bekerja di tempat yang sama namun yang tak mereka sadari adalah kesamaan di antara ketiga orang ini akan mempertemukan mereka di tempat lain.

Masa dinas Eddie Dugan hanya tinggal satu minggu lagi. Setelah itu ia berencana menghabiskan masa pensiun dengan memancing di Connecticut. Di saat yang sama, Sal Procida punya masalah lain. Sampai di titik ini, Sal bersumpah tak akan ada yang bisa menghalanginya memberikan kehidupan yang lebih baik buat istri dan ketujuh anaknya.

Clarence Butler yang juga dikenal dengan nama Tango justru punya masalah lain. Terlalu lama bekerja dalam penyamaran membuat ia jauh lebih dekat pada Caz (Wesley Snipes), temannya selama di penjara, ketimbang pada sesama penegak hukum.

Suatu ketika, New York Police Departemen mencurigai adanya perdagangan narkotika di sebuah bisnis perumahan dan tanpa disadari Eddie, Sal, dan Clarence tiba-tiba terseret ke lokasi kejahatan yang sama. Hanya pilihan mereka sendiri yang membuat mereka bisa menjadi petugas terbaik di Brooklyn.
