In Japan, the daycare teacher Kyoko Okudera is convinced by her colleague and friend Madoka to visit her boyfriend Naoto Sakurai in the restaurant where he works instead of studying as planned. When the owner Mr. Wang answers his daughter's mobile phone, he receives a message telling him that he would die in an accident in the kitchen. This immediately comes true. Later, Naoto is visited by the snoopy journalist Takako Nozoe, who is researching the death call, and she plays the deadly ring tone for him.

He recalls that not only Mr. Wang, but also Madoka have received similar calls. Meanwhile Kyoko is talking to Madoka and she sees a ghost in her phone. She rushes to Madoka's apartment and finds her dead in the bathtub, with Naoto and Takako arriving immediately after. Their investigation shows that Mimiko's grandfather Wei Zhang is in Taiwan and Takako asks her former husband Yuting to search him.

Meanwhile, Kyoko receives a phone call and the autopsies of Mr. Wang and Madoka indicate the presence of coal dust in their lungs and no candies in their mouths. Takako, Naoto and Kyoko travel to Taiwan expecting to solve the mystery and save Kyoko from her fate.

While in a bar with her friends, the teenager Yoko Okazaki receives a voice mail from the future telling the date and time when she would die. On the next day, Yumi overhears a group of students talking about the urban legend that people are mysteriously receiving phone calls with date and time of their death in the near future. In the precise informed hour, Yoko is attacked by a supernatural force in a train station while talking to her friend Yumi Nakamura.

Yumi seeks out Kioto's boyfriend Kenji Kawai, who also received a call, and witnesses his death in an elevator shaft. When her roommate Natsumi Konishi receives a call, Yoko befriends Hiroshi Yamashita, who tells her that his sister Ritsuko was the first victim of the phone call.

While in the hospital, Yumi hears an asthma pump and recalls that she heard the same noise when Kenji died. They decide to investigate victims of asthma in the hospital and find the name of Marie Mizunuma and her daughters Mimiko and Nanako. They search the family together trying to save Natsumi from her fate.

It seems as though the house was formerly occupied by a young couple -- Katsuya (Kanji Tsuda), Chiharu's son, and his wife, Kazumi (Risa Matsuda). Sadly, Kazumi was killed thanks to Toshio shortly after moving in, and it wasn't long before Katsuya met a similar fate. When one of Rika's colleagues alerts the local authorities, an investigation turns the house inside out and exposes an ancient and deadly history.

A young woman, stuck in her apartment thanks to the cast on her leg, communicates with the outside world via cell phone and text messages. She begins receiving text messages from a stranger, who seems friendly enough, and there’s no reason for her to read between the lines when he mentions that he is currently dwelling somewhere “cramped.” After sending the mysterious stranger her picture, she asks for one in return and is sent the same picture. When she questions him, he says he is in the picture next to her.

A ghostly face is slightly visible next to her smiling face. As she researches recent deaths she discovers that a man died and was buried with a cellphone. She then gets a text saying that he will come to her place now. All of the lights begin to go out and the young woman cries in fear. She is then assaulted by the ghost and is thrown out of the window to her death. We are then shown that the man died while walking across the road, being struck by the taxi that crashes and breaks her leg.

Tidak semua penulis cukup mujur untuk bisa menghasilkan sebuah karya yang membuatnya terkenal dan bergelimang harta. Beberapa harus rela menjadi penulis yang tak pernah disebutkan namanya atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah ghost writer. Memang pekerjaan ini seolah mudah karena penulis tidak secara langsung bertanggung jawab pada hasil tulisannya. Tapi bukan berarti pekerjaan ini sama sekali tidak ada risikonya.

Dalam kasus ghost writer yang diperankan oleh Ewan McGregor ini masalahnya tak semudah itu. Awalnya penulis ini mendapat tugas dari agennya untuk melanjutkan penulisan biografi mantan Perdana Menteri Inggris, Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). Sang agen meyakinkan bahwa pekerjaan ini tak akan terlalu sulit dan kesempatan seperti ini tak akan datang dua kali.

Berbekal keyakinan itulah sang ghost writer ini berangkat ke pulau tempat tinggal Adam Lang. Ternyata, sebagian dari biografi itu sudah ditulis oleh seorang ghost writer lain namun tidak terselesaikan karena sang penulis ini tiba-tiba meninggal. Baru juga sang ghost writer ini memulai bekerja, masalah lain muncul.

Adam Lang dituduh telah menyerahkan seorang tersangka tindak terorisme pada CIA untuk disiksa. Skandal ini segera saja menjadi head line di mana-mana dan mulai banyak warga yang berdatangan untuk memprotes tindakan Adam Lang. Semakin jauh ghost writer ini mengumpulkan fakta, semakin jelas pula kalau ada kemungkinan bahwa ghost writer sebelumnya meninggal karena dibunuh dan Adam Lang bisa jadi adalah mata-mata CIA selama ia bertugas sebagai Perdana Menteri Inggris.

Kisah ini menyambung cerita sebelumnya di THE RING. Disturbia (2007)

Kale (Shia LeBeouf) adalah seorang anak muda dari keluarga yang bahagia. Dia biasa menghabiskan harinya dengan bermain video game, bermain internet dan menonton TV. Suatu hari Kale dan ayahnya pergi memancing. Kemudian mereka terkena sebuah kecelakaan lalu-lintas yang menyebabkan ayah Kale meninggal dunia.

Setelah kematian ayahnya, Kale menjadi anak yang pendiam dan sensitif. Sifatnya itu dikarenakan dia menyalahkan dirinya sebagai penyebab kematian ayahnya. Suatu saat seorang gurunya memarahi Kale dengan sedikit menghina ayahnya. Kale pun menjadi marah dan meninju sang guru tepat di wajahnya.

Hal itu berdampak amat buruk. Kale mendapat hukuman berupa tahanan rumah selama tiga bulan. Dia hanya bisa keluar 100 kaki dari halaman rumahnya. Hal ini tadinya tidak menjadi masalah buat Kale, tetapi keadaan berubah setelah ibunya mematikan akses Xbox Live dan I tunes miliknya. Nah lho, siapa suruh bandel.

Rasa bosan yang luar biasa membuat Kale menjadi frustasi. Dia mencari cara untuk menghabiskan waktu tahanan rumahnya selama 3 bulan itu. Di tengah kebosanannya itu dia pun mencoba memperhatikan lingkungan di sekitarnya. Kale pun mendapat hobby baru, yaitu stakeout. Wah, hobby yang harus dicoba nih.

Kegiatan mengamati itu dilakukan dengan menggunakan teropong yang dimilikinya. Dia pun mengamati kebiasaan para tetangganya. Mulai dari tetangga depan rumahnya yang selingkuh dengan pembantunya setelah istrinya pergi, anak-anak bandel yang suka menonton film porno, hingga ke tetangganya yang cantik dan seksi bernama Ashley.

The Losers (2010)

Dikirim ke tengah hutan belantara untuk melaksanakan satu misi rahasia bukanlah hal baru buat Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Roque (Idris Elba), Jensen (Chris Evans), Pooch (Columbus Short), dan Cougar (Oscar Jaenada). Sebelumnya mereka sudah sering melakukan misi maut seperti ini. Tapi kali ini berbeda karena ada yang ingin memastikan bahwa misi kali ini adalah misi mereka yang terakhir.

Awalnya tim khusus ini hanya tahu kalau mereka ditugaskan ke belantara Bolivia untuk sebuah misi penghancuran. Tanpa mereka sadari, seseorang bernama Max (Jason Patric) telah menyusup ke dalam organisasi CIA dan memastikan tim ini tak akan pernah kembali. Untungnya tim super ini berhasil lolos dari maut dan Max tak sadar kalau mereka sebenarnya masih hidup.

Dengan bantuan Aisha (Zoe Saldana) yang ternyata punya agenda sendiri, lima prajurit andal ini pun merancang balas dendam mereka pada Max. Meski terdengar mudah, misi ini sebenarnya hampir mustahil karena tak satupun dari kelima prajurit ini boleh terlihat karena status mereka saat ini telah dianggap mati.
